Mission Statement of DTS
What is DTS?
DTS (Dynasty Tapeless Score) is a tool that combines traits with college performance to create a score out of ten to evaluate prospects. This score was created using six previous years' prospect data and seeing how the tool graded them and comparing them to real world outcomes.
How Should you use DTS?
Think of DTS as less of a big board and more of a tool that helps you extract value from the prospects current ADP. Example: Prospect A is listed as #5 on the DTS Big Board, but is going around #13 in ADP. I wouldn’t recommend taking Prospect A at #5 (although it does seem to work out more often than not), but once #9 rolls around you should consider it close to a value pick.
How is DTS calculated?
The actual formula won’t be released, but you can know that DTS takes into count RAS, Draft Capital, College Production, PFF Grades, Injury History, and quality of competition all to varying degrees.
If this isn’t a big board, will you also be publishing a big board?
Yes! As a separate post I will be creating a big board that takes into account DTS as well as more subjective variables such as fit, opportunity, destination, “he plays faster”, “he’s got that dog in him”, etc.
